The Pr1macard Elite Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by Palm Desert National Bank, is a prepaid card good for people who need an alternative means of making purchases as a result of not being able to obtain a traditional credit card. This card requires an initial load or deposit of at least $20 and a maximum stored value amount of $5,000. Cardholders will be able to load their cards with funds for future use at participating retailers and may be charged load fees based on the retail loading network they use. While cardholders are guaranteed approval (pending an identification process) without having to undergo a credit check or employment verification, they should be aware that there are considerable fees to take into account. These fees include a card issuance fee of $12.95, a monthly maintenance fee of $6.95 per month, plus various ATM usage fees, in addition to other charges that may add up. Cardholders can expect to pay at least $96.35 in fees during their first year. Although there are many fees that come with the card, cardholders should also know that there are a list of free features and services that come with this prepaid card. Some of these fee-free services/features include free direct deposit, unlimited signature transactions, Internet PIN purchases and balance inquires, bill pay, and electronic statements. The Pr1macard Elite Prepaid MasterCard® is great for people who need access to the MasterCard® brand when making purchases. Although it comes with its share of expenses, people who are finding it difficult to secure an unsecured credit card will find this card both convenient and useful. |
